FAQ
Common Questions.
Do I need a spare tire?
Yes. A roadside tire change installs your existing spare. If you do not have a usable spare, the vehicle may need to be towed to a tire shop.
Can you repair my tire on the spot?
Our service installs your spare so you can get to a tire shop. The damaged tire should be inspected and repaired or replaced as soon as possible.
How far can I drive on a temporary spare?
Follow the limits printed on the spare and in your owner's manual. Many temporary spares are limited to about 50 mph and short distances.
What if I lost my wheel-lock key?
Tell dispatch before a technician is sent. Without the key, a standard roadside tire change may not be possible.
Is it safe to change a tire on the highway?
Only when there is room to work away from traffic. Our technicians may ask to move the vehicle to a safer spot first.
